International Development Research Institute (IDRI) and French Embassy in China Exchange Views on Energy Training Cooperation between China

The CFFCME of Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (BUCEA), officially established in 1999, is a Sino-foreign cooperative institution jointly supported by the Ministry of Education of China and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France and approved by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, which aims to train building energy technology engineers and technicians through academic education and continuing education. Over the past 20 years, it has trained a large number of professionals and become a model of Sino-French educational cooperation.
To further promote the cooperation between China and France in international education, IDRI invited Mr. Jean-Francois Doulet, Commissioner for Higher Education and Scientific Cooperation of the French Embassy in China, Madina Tsoroeva, and Ms. Sai Liu to visit CFFCME on September 21 for exchanges on deepening the cooperation. Jiang Jie, Executive Dean of IDRI, Ding Shuai and Zhang Qunli, Vice Deans of IDRI and related staff of CFFCME attended the meeting.
Jiang Jie introduced the history, specialties, development goals of BUCEA as well as the functions and work orientations of IDRI. She expressed that IDRI would like to actively promote multi-level cooperation in the field of new energy based on the CFFCME. While continuing to work appropriately on energy vocational education in China and France, CFFCME is also dedicated to expanding cooperation in higher education, joint research on scientific and technological projects, and jointly organizing international academic exchanges and activities.
Zhang Qunli introduced the specific operations of CFFCME and expressed the intention to continue in-depth cooperation.
Mr. Jean-Francois Doulet introduced the responsibilities of the Department of Higher Education and Scientific Cooperation of the French Embassy in China. He fully affirmed the important role of the CFFCME in promoting educational cooperation between China and France over the past 21 years,expressed the interests in expanding multi-level cooperation between the two countries in various fields such as energy, architecture, surveying and mapping, and expressed the willingness to actively promote the communication of the two sides of CFFCME.
Before the meeting, the staff of the Embassy visited 14 technical platforms and virtual simulation laboratories of CFFCME, including the comprehensive use of energy in buildings and the efficient use of renewable energy.
