From September 23rd to 24th, Global Spatial and Temporal Information Integration Services Professional Committee, GLAC (GLAC-Global Services, hereinafter referred to as the “Professional Committee”) organized the Beidou Internationalization Sub-forum titled "Promoting Beidou Internationalization and Building Air Information Corridor" at the China BDS Applications Forum held in Wuhan. Liu Dake, Vice Chairman of GLAC, delivered a speech for the sub-forum, and experts from the National Time Service Center, People's Daily Overseas Network, Ministry of Rural Agriculture, Silk Road Group Limited, etc. delivered high-level presentations, and Professor Jiang Jie, Secretary General of the Professional Committee and Distinguished Dean of the International Development Research Institute (School of International Education) of BUCEA, presided over the meeting.
In 2020, the Beidou navigation system was fully completed and is now providing global services, making China the third country in the world to independently own a global satellite navigation system. Now, efforts are being made towards the goal of developing China's Beidou to the first-class Beidou for the world.The Beidou internationalization sub-forum will further promote the close integration of "Beidou Going Global" and the "Belt and Road" national development strategy, and promote the internationalization of the Beidou satellite navigation industry.
Ding Shuai, Vice President of IDRI and member of Secretariat of the "Belt and Road" International Consortium of Architecture Universities, introduced the Belt and Road Architectural University International Consortium, internationalization development ideas and measures initiated by BUCEA with the topic of "Relying on the Belt and Road Architectural University International Consortium, Promoting the Construction of International Time-Space Comprehensive Information Services". The conference took the approach of "on-site + live" and was simultaneously broadcasted to industry colleagues nationwide who are concerned about the internationalization of Beidou, and the venue was fully occupied, and more than 3,000 people watched the live broadcast.
