Wu Shushan believed that it was of great significance to participate in the first Summer International School, as she could learn and experience the characteristics and advantages of the architectural disciplines of BUCEA, learn about the international academic frontiers in the fields of architecture and civil engineering, as well as expand her horizons and get to know more foreign friends.
In conclusion, Vice President Wang Su delivered a spirited concluding speech. Through his introduction, we learned that the development of BUCEA was inextricably linked to the transformation of Beijing, and that BUCEA had been involved in every stage of the development of urban design, from the traditional construction of the ancient city, to the modern capital, and then to the future urban design and development. He also called on all students and teachers of the Summer International School to experience the charms of Beijing and witness the development of BUCEA.
In the first Summer International School, foreign teachers from first-class overseas colleges and universities, such as the University of West Scotland in the UK, Da-yeh University and the University of Naples in Italy, as well as domestic teachers, such asacademicians from the Chinese Academy of Engineering and "Yangtze River Scholars", were invited to give lectures. The Summer International School curriculum focuses on the specialties of architecture colleges and universities, including fields such as architecture, civil engineering, cultural studies and communication studies. In addition, a wide range of practical cultural activities are arranged in addition to the regular curriculum, providing a great opportunity for students to learn about and experience both traditional and modern Chinese architecture in person.
